Hi, it is my understanding that Orchard can be extended, but cannot be integrated into existing sites. We need a CMS module but refactoring of current site into Orchard Module is not an option. Would it be a viable alternative to have Orchard as the main site and the current site as a subsite of Orchard? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

I have seen people do that with static HTML sites, and it actually worked. Whether it's viable or not kind of depends on what your Orchard module is doing. For example, if you could enhance your existing site to calling into a Web API provided by your Orchard module, you could keep the two sites separate, which would be the easiest way to do. If you want to mix the two sites, then you'll need to think about how to keep the UI consistent, such as the header and footer. If that is a requirement at all, that is.
