What does the Shape Part in content definition do?

It' used by the "Templates" module, you need also a template processor as the "Razor Templates" module. Then this part allows you to create razor alternate views through the dashboard. You can do that by attaching this part to a content type that also have a Common, Identity and a Title parts. The Title part is used as the name of your razor alternate view, e.g if you use "Branding" it's as you create a "Branding.cshtml" alternate view file

But when you enable the "Templates" module, you already have a "Template" content type, and you can create new items directly through the "Templates" dashboard page

I've tried it, it works, I can use some simple c# code, but there are some limitations, e.g I wasn't able to use "WorkContext"...
