I am Sachin from NJ USA.

I am developer having 4 years of professional experience.
Recently one company extended me an offer as software engineer. The project I am going to work is developed in Orchard.
Actually I have an experience of MVC 4.0 with entity framework. I don't know much about Orchard and what are the future carrier opportunity in it.
I am confused about choosing Orchard as carrier path.
Would you like to help me about whether I should go with Orchard or not?

Please reply me as soon as possible.

Orchard can absolutely provide a great career path (it did so for me and many others). It's a beautiful, flexible and powerful CMS and application framework built with ASP.NET MVC. It adheres to and implements best practices and patterns in terms of application development. It made me a much better developer and learned skills that I can apply elsewhere. So even if you learn Orchard but never applied it to anything else but the project you are about to work on, you will learn skills that you can use in future projects, even if they are not built with Orchard. It is open source, which gives you the opportunity to be a recognized community member as you contribute back. If you'd ask me I'd say: jump right in and buckle up.
