Hi,

Why MediaLibrary module does not display folders and files added through the FTP?
Planned in the future to fix it?

Thanks

MediaLibrary module does not display a file system listing of the folder on every visit. It displays stored metadata representing files uploaded to the media folder via orchard. If you use ftp or manually copy files to the actual folder orchard will never know the files exists unless it monitors the file system.

I'm sure you can create some process to scan the folder and automatically create the metadata for files orchard don't already know about.

Long time ago I think there was an idea to also have an "import local" feature that would let you import files into the Media Library that are physically present but not imported as media content items. You could open an issue about this if you'd like to see it.

Hi,
That would be great. I often have to update the files on the FTP protocol. I think the need for this functionality is obvious, for the case if the need to restore the database using the backup.
