I'm looking to create a workflow that will do the following:
- When a user attempts to publish an item, the workflow will do a check on roles.
- If the user is in role "Author", the workflow will kick off an email, show a notification to the user ("You can't publish content, but we notified the people who can") and
leave the content saved but unpublished.
- If the user is in role "Editor" the workflow will allow a publish as usual and kick off an email.
I'm able to do all of this except the last part of item 2 - the only actions available to me in the Workflow editor is
the content is published. I want to intercept the publish action and provide different experiences for different users.
Also, does anyone have any documentation for workflows? The whole feature doesn't seem to have any documentation beyond a few blog posts showing how to do basic two-step workflows.
