convert html pages

I am trying to persuade several site owners to redo their sites in Orchard. They currently have hundred (thousands?) of well structured flat html pages. I have a script to walk through pages extracting content, tags etc. I wonder if the creators of this excellent software (Orchard) would provide the sql insert code to create pages without manually using the interface.

Just use the import feature.

Thanks, can you point me to documentation or training on what you mean? I tried import and was able to import a recipe file. I didn't see any option for flat html pages.

You have to build a recipe file from the data that you have.

Hello again. I took your advice and created a file parsing program to build a recipe from extracted content. I was able to import a 200 page site. I will try to make a generalized version of my code available to the community. Is there a method or sql query that can be used to establish naviagtion in Orchard based on the <AutoroutePart Alias=...? The pages exist in the correct routes and can be browsed to but so far I have had to add them to the site navigation manually. I can't generate this sort of thing without adding them to the database, correct? <ContentMenuItem Id="/Identifier=cbc34848e099485a99c6ce8a3832135d" Status="Published"> <IdentityPart Identifier="cbc34848e099485a99c6ce8a3832135d" /><CommonPart Owner="/User.UserName=admin" CreatedUtc="2013-11-25T21:53:36Z" PublishedUtc="2013-11-25T21:53:36Z" ModifiedUtc="2013-11-25T21:53:36Z" /><MenuPart Menu="/Identifier=49091391c4f041569b271cca12101804" MenuText="Home" MenuPosition="1" />
