how to override other module in my module

I want to override built-in orchard DateTimePicker to another calendar system in my own module (Shamsi DateTimePicker) and then set option in recipe to select calendar system in orchard installation.
please guide me and say steps for do this...

Couple options here. A good example to look at would be the TinyMCEDeluxe module, and examine how that is built. Specific points of interest will be ResourceManifest.cs and the Views & Scripts folders. This is a great example of overriding a form input from one module in another.

Other options are to simply override the DateTime.cshtml view, or if you don't want to do templating you can always do something client-side when the DOM is constructed with JavaScript.
