Hi all.

New to Orchard.

I work in a big organization with many areas, organized in the classical hierarchical structure. I created a hierarchical menu which resembles the structure. Each menu item takes to a page describing the area and presents news from that area. Now, I would like to manage user permissions so that a subset of authorized users can manage (create, edit, publish, unpublish) contents for the area they belong to. The objective is that each area is authonomous in managing its content and an area cannot interphere with contents belonging to another area.

What is the best way to achieve these objectives with Orchard?

Thanks a lot,

Content permissions should be a good place to start building something tailored to your specific needs.

Thank you for the answer.

So... just to be sure... don't I even try to address my objective through multi-tenancy?

Multitenancy is designed to host multiple, completely separate sites, on a single web server.
