Context menu

I want to use different main menus on different parts of my site.
Creating a new menu besides the default seems easy enough in the navigation part of the dashboard. Also to associate a page to a menu is easy.

But when I render the page, the default menu is showing up. Not the associated one as I was expecting.

What additional things do I have to do, in order to make the new menu appear instead of the default (mainmenu) while visiting the associated page?

Go to Widget Admin Menu (yes it's strange) .... and create a new Layer based on url or other criteria of your pages and associate the main menu you want

Ok. Did as you wrote.
Created a layer, assigned the menu to the layer, created a rule to display the layer, created a page with an url that matched the layer rule and added a widget to a zone on the page and the layer.

The page renders fine with the right widget. But still the default menu shows.

Two questions;
  1. What did I do wrong?
  2. Where can I change/edit the menu associated with a specific layer?

1) May be have you left the default layer with the original main menu....
2) The menu for each layer is a widget
