Hi,

I like Orchard a lot and I have several projects which do or will use it. I also am a big fan of automating repetitive and tedious tasks. So some time ago, I set out to improve my Orchard development workflow. I called the result Nitrate, because it's a bit of pollution (rather ugly PowerShell scripts) which make my Orchards grow faster. Here's the link:

There's a bit of documentation but here's the features list:
  • Commit only your code to source control.
  • Easily build and keep a consistent environment across a team.
  • Automatically configure IIS and SQL Server.
  • Easy database backup and restore (useful to test migrations or 3rd party modules).
  • Git style commands work from anywhere in your environment path.
  • Synchronize your site with FTP (experimental)
Hopefully, some of you will find this useful and maybe even contribute fixes and features!

Looks very interesting! I'm going to try this out when I spin up my 1.7 site
