I have downloaded the source and execute published in VS2012. I noticed that the published site was more than 800mb. Simply because it brings all the module available.

Anyone knows how to build a thin Orchard Site (only having be base and basic module required to run it)

I did try the compile site but even with that it still huge web site.

Thanks and regards,

When you are ready to compile, go to the orchard folder, then start a command prompt, then type;
build "compile;package"
When it has finished you will have a folder called build, I then take what is in the stage folder and its normally around 65-70 mb

Yes, in the root folder there is a ClickToBuild.cmd file which you can execute. It will generate a couple of folders, one of which being a Stage folder. This one is stripped from duplicate DLLs and is way below 100 MB.

Yup, always try to use the provided build script for preparing a deployment package. Like Sipke said - it strips duplicated DLLs from each module folder.
If you need to alter the build behavior, take a look at Orchard.proj MSBuild file - this one is used by the build script.
