We have just tested the metioned method that Sebastien showed us last week with orchardproject.hu.

Our virtual server uses 1 core of a Xeon E5440 (2.83 GHz) and 1 GB RAM.

Our result is quite surprising, because the site (the process w3wp.exe) uses 30MB more memory (180MB -> 210MB) and loading the site takes the same amount of time as before (or maybe 1-2% less, around 820ms).

Please share any thoughts/experiences on this matter.

I tested again (had to, some modules weren't working due to the lack of binaries...) and the site uses around the same amount of memory: memory usage varies just above 210MB (topping by about 230MB sometimes) with default settings (i.e. the module loaders kept enabled).

Thanks, that's good data.
