Sebastien means "The Rewrite Rules Modules", not "rewrite the Rules Module". As in, there's a Url Rewrite module on the gallery that you can use.

Why not just have a go with the module and see whether it works? That'll take less time than asking questions and waiting for a reply... (By the way, the module has a home page: - and look, it even has links to information about rewrite rules)
