Super User vs. Administrator Role

Hey guys, I'm trying to remember if there are any actual differences between the super user and the administrator role in terms of permissions. I know that super user is sort of a flag applied to one user on the site through the settings page, partly to ensure there is always at least one administrator on the site.

But I don't remember if there are any effective permission differences between the super user and another user assigned to the Administrator role? So I thought I'd be lazy and ask here instead of digging through the code. :-)

Thanks,

By default the admin role has all permissions, so it's functionally equivalent to the site owner, but one could remove permissions from admin in principle, at which point they would become different. In other words, people can shoot themselves in the foot, so we gave them reinforced shoes.

Ah yes, that makes sense. That's basically what I thought but wanted to confirm. Nice analogy too.  :-)  Thanks!
