Trying to remove the facebook like part from the summary listing of blog items... how would i achieve this?

What do you mean by "facebook like part"?

If you find out the shape name, you can add this in

<Match DisplayType="Summary">
    <Place Parts_Shape_Name="-" />
The "-" is a special null zone that makes things disappear :)

Thanks for the reply,

So i have gone into Modules/Orchard.Blogs and edited the Placement.Info to look like this

    <Match DisplayType="Summary">
            <Place Parts_Blogs_Blog_Description="Content:before"
          <Place Parts_Like_Edit="-" />
          <Place Parts_Like="-" />

The Part/Shape is the Facebok Module which you can download from Orchard Site and from looking at the modules own it references Parts_Like
However for some reason this wont make the facebook part dissapear from the summary listings...

Ahh... i was backwards ... i needed to edit the that is for the Facebook Module. Not for the blogs..

You shouldn't be editing anything in other people's modules. You need to create your own theme, and add a there to make any customizations. Changes you make in other modules will most likely get overwritten when you want to upgrade that module later on!
