Is it possible to run Orchard inside of a webfarm

Orchard is able to run on Windows Azure.
But what if the client says I want to have it on a private cloud.
Is it possible to set up a load balancer, multiple IIS-/ASP.Net-Machines and one SQL-Server-Machine and distribute the load over the IIS-/ASP.Net-Machines. What about the Caching-Provider? Is the caching provider able to distribute the changes to the other machines?

Yes, Orchard was created in a way that was mindful of running on a web farm. You’ll also want to verify it meets your particular needs. One thing to expect is you may need to replace the media storage with something that operates over a centralized location (like in the Azure case) – and after running setup on one server you’ll copy the app_data/sites/* files to the other hosts rather than run setup on them.
