Disable/Enable Caching Modules in Windows Azure Cloud Service do not "take".

When running Orchard 1.x in a Cloud Service (even single role) after disabling and enabling the OutputCache or Database Cache modules they are not showing as being disabled/enabled. Only after a restart of app or timeout it seems they take effect. I have role caching configured in this scenario as well.

That should work. If the modules were from the gallery then it would explain but you are only mentioning core ones.

Unless you have multiple instances, then it would be by design. You need Lombiq's DistributedEvents module.
