Adding fields in Content Type doesnt display properly

The admin system seems to have a few bugs in it.

I basically created a content type as Widget and added a Field of Media Picker.

When you look at the content type the field I have added doesn't show but it has been added to the database because when you try to recreate the field with the same name it wont let you because it already exists.

If I delete the content type and do it again sometimes its there and all is working fine.

Did you add the filed to placement? Can you provide some minimum information about the circumstances where it shows (name, type, etc.) and where it doesn't? Otherwise, this is almost certain to be closed as not reproducible I'm afraid.

On my test this happens only to Content Types created directly using admin interface.
I have created a new content Type, named it "Featured Items" (internal name FeaturedItems)
Added common and title part
Added a media library field (but same behavior with any field)
Filed is saved (cannot add twice, it is on db table) but field does not shows up on admin edit content type nor when you try to add a new instance...
I'm using sql compact and source from 1.x

Sounds like a potential caching problem?

This behavior has happened to me when I've attempted to add fields to a custom content type named Contact and then again when I've created a custom content type called Member.

I then attempted to replicate this behavior by creating a content type named TestContentType and then adding the same parts as I did for my Contact type. In this case I was able to add a field (named TestContentTypeField) successfully.

It is not a cache issue as I can add fields to other content type such as Product (from Nzawet.Commerce) and my custom type TestContentType, which was created through the admin interface.

Please let me know you need any additional information.

If you can still reproduce it on 1.8.1 please provide the steps starting from a fresh setup.
