Orchard 1.4.1 - Export/RSS Feed Fails on Special Characters

description

Perhaps this has been fixed on 1.5 or 1.6 but I might need to patch my 1.4.1 so if it is, I might need some help IDing what to change.

Basically I have users that constantly cut and paste into orchard from word. This creates some odd characters at time that in fact seem to have HTML equivalents but when converting to XML for a blog post export from DEV to PROD or for RSS Feeds, the post always fail to export or the RSS feed exceptions.

What is the preferred way to handle these in a CMS (or in any application)? How to others handle it? Is it something that should be stripped from the post during save or something that should be handled during the export and rss feeds.

It would seem to be a fairly common problem that people forget about as the google search results for the error message quickly IDed the issue.
