Impressive CMS with a really great architecture and performance. It's a strong platform with a good community and a growing base of contributed modules. The flexibility of the framework is a gift to any developer.

Very nice release and much faster then 1.4. It's getting better and better but you have to know what you are doing. There's a learning curve but once you'll get through that you have the most powerful opensource MVC CMS for .Net! Nice job guys!

Good application.
Easy to install
But u never know when u will get AutoFac error.
That is beyond your control.
All of a sudden you will get errors from your website and to figure out and know what caused the problem - Will take longer than you can imagine. Pathetic experience.

Ignore the fringebug comment. How anyone can compare this to sharepoint is beyond me. smacks of a bitter php user to me.
Once you start understanding this framework, you appreciate its flexibility but don't expect 1&1 websites pre-rendered rubbish, it takes some effort but its well worth the investment.
has some bits that need improving but if you can, get in and help the community !

So impressive. This CMS goes from strength to strength, the new features come thick & fast & the team remains ON TOP of the issues. Awesome product, great core team, keen & active community. This is how open source should be.

I was trying to decide between Umbraco and Orchard and after playing with both the CMSs for about an hour, I have concluded that I would definitely go with Orchard. The biggest selling point of Orchard for me is the MVC architecture.
