Threaded comment switches zones

I have a page with two custom zones: .zone-left-half and .zone-right-half.

Each zone contains a comment part. When I don't use threaded comments, things go ok. But when I use threaded comments, and user hits "reply" button on the comment part in the .zone-right-half zone, the resulting "reply" comment form switches zones and becomes nested in the .zone-left-half under the comment form that already exists in that zone.

Anyone know what might be happening there?

Actually, this might have more to do with having two comment parts on one page. After further testing it looks like threaded comments don't work at all on pages with two comment forms. When you submit a "reply" comment, it just puts the comment on the bottom as if it were a non-threaded comment.

So maybe the question should be: Does anyone know how to make threaded comments work when there are two comment forms on a single page?

The newest versions of Orchard still don't have the issue solved. I submitted an Issue on Github:
