Hey everyone,

I'm having a weird problem with shape tracer, it works but the text is garbled so I can't create alternates anymore (see gif)

I tried on different computers, disabled reenabled the module, recopied the module folder from a clean versions etc.. Nothing works.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

It might be related to your theme's CSS. Does it work when you use The Theme Machine?

Yes, that does the trick, my designer changed the css.

Any idea where it could be located?

You can turn on Firebug in Firefox (or whatever doing the same job in your browser) and inspect the lines in Shape Tracing pane to find out what classes affect them, and how they are different than the ones in The Theme Machine or if they are missing.

The CSS files should be in Styles folder of the theme.

Ok I found it, in the css i had under lists: ul, ol { line-height: 0em; }

After disabling this it works again.

Thank you very much kassobasi!

Sure, glad it's OK now.

I think it shape tracing should handle these kinds of styling issues itself. It has a CSS file added when feature is active, and it has some reset rules so theme CSS is supposed not to break it. However that reset styling is not covering everything and I don't know that much about CSS to figure out if it's practically impossible to cover everything. ul line-height: 0 does not makes sense to me at all but I take it is some designed gotcha.

Maybe it would be best if a CSS specialist checks Orchard.Web\Modules\Orchard.DesignerTools\Styles\orchard-designertools-shapetracing.css and The Theme Machine's style file to find out if something can be done to remedy shape tracing reset, and report an issue.
