Changed behavior of "View all content" permission [1.7.2]

Hi,

I recently went about upgrading a 1.6 deployment of Orchard to 1.7.2, and I have found that the "View all content" permission behaves differently now.

My set up called for some content types being entirely invisible/inaccessible for anonymous users, so I had disabled the view all content permission, but granted access to various other items such as pages etc. This worked perfectly for us.

The problem is that now with 1.7.2, if you remove the view all content permission for anonymous users, you can no longer see any widgets whatsoever. This means that anonymous users cannot see the Main Menu, or any HTML widgets that we have situated on the Homepage layer and default layer.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Cheers,
Richard

You simply have to add the content permission part to menu and other widgets and do not forget to update the existing items to enable the part for them.

Perfect, thanks for that!
