Tokens Not Expanding

I've got a very simple workflow that triggers on content item creation filtered by content type. I'm finding that when I attempt to include fields from the created content item in an email with the Send Email activity, the tokens aren't expanded; I wind up getting a blank email.

Anyone encountered this? Anything I should check for specifically?

Which version of Orchard are you using? 1.7 release, or 1.x?
If the former, then that's a known "issue" and has been fixed in 1.x.

It's 1.7. Any plans on backporting the fix to 1.7?

I don't think so. It will be part of 1.7.1 which will be out soon.
