Hi there,

Is there anyone who tried to use devexpress asp.net mvc components with Orchard CMS ?
I have tried and got the next error, which I'm not able to solve.

To work properly, DevExpress components require ASPxHttpHandlerModule registered in the web.config file. For details, see: http://documentation.devexpress.com/#AspNet/CustomDocument7540

I have registered http module and handler and done everything according to devexpress documentation
http://documentation.devexpress.com/#AspNet/CustomDocument8163
But it still doesn't work.

Any ideas and suggestions ? Is it good or bad idea to use devexpress with orchard ?

Thanks.

I don't know about DevExpress, but here are some hints about loading http modules in Orchard in general.

First, we're talking about main web.config - the one found in Orchard.Web project. This is the only place to put all custom modules in.
Second, please check if you have correctly referenced all necessary dlls that contain those http modules within the Orchard.Web project. The reference needs to be directly in that project, not in some Orchard module. Otherwise IIS won't see it at app startup, thus your http module won't get loaded.

Yeah, the problem was that I have to place everything into web.config under Orchard.Web project instead of module.
I've done it and it works!
Thanks.
