Orchard Email Not working on contact form

When I try to send an email from my contact form it will not send.. I have set the email address to other and entered the address as well as site admin. I have configured smtp settings as
port 25
then the user name and password

I do not understand why it will not work the site in question is somebody please help. i have also tried to set it to gmail just to check it wasnt something I have done wrong

Have you checked the logs folder, its under app_data?

I have just been playing with Workflow and Email so its working for me, though it maybe a custom forms issue.

Yes nothing at all in there. All appears to work fine even on dev machine when debugging unfortunately it's driving me mad

Oh and it's not just custom forms does not work on comments either

If I tell you where to put a break point are you about to debug?

Also how have you hooked up you custom form to email?

I have set a rule up send email on submission.

Where can I put a break?

In Orchard.Email, there's a class called EmailMessagingChannel. You could set one there. The rule has the Send Email action, which is implemented by a class called MailActions, which uses the message manager to send messages, which in turn uses the configured messaging channel. If that's set to email, then you'll see control flow from MailActions to EmailMessagingChannel.
