Orchard runs under full trust so is this the problem?

Trust level: Loopia Medium

Shared host only support medium trust. Editing web.config to ...
 <trust level="Medium" originUrl="" />
... will not help?

That's not true, there are hosting companies that provide full trust on shared hosting environment.

Sorry for not being clear. The current hosting company only support medium trust and setting web.config does not help.

Orchard 1.6 needs full trust. Its a requirement.
If i were you, i would go for another hosting provider, there are plenty of them that support full trust on shared hosting.

[nduarte] Thank's for your reply and advice. Just wanted to be sure 1.6 requires full trust.

Just for your knowledge, read this, bertrand explains why orchard just works in full trust from version 1.6
