Hi guys,

Trying to pay for this through eventbrite but getting a Paypal error saying they are currently experiencing difficulties accepting payment. Is then any other way we can book and not miss the early booking discount?

Hey guys - can't find any mention of hotel / hotels to stay at. I'd like to be very close by - what's the recommendation?

Budget is fine - 4+ stars not required :-)

Thanks. I ended up booking at the Eden - seems very close, right on the (a?) canal ... decent price.

Looking forward to the event!

Thank you for your concern. Unfortunately Azure is having trouble and we are down. The promise of the cloud?

Hopefully this will be resolved shortly.

Best,

Hi guys - looking forward to Harvest. Question about the agenda - an earlier version included a session on unit testing in Orchard. This was probably the biggest draw of the conference for me, as it is the one glaring deficiency in my own Orchard projects. Will any of the sessions be addressing unit testing strategies and techniques? Perhaps this is an area that could get some attention in one of the 'open' sessions?

Thanks.

Yes, I think I will talk about it during the Advanced Dev session. If you have any other suggestion let me know.

To anyone who is following this thread and noted that the conference site had intermittent issues - we apologize and have migrated the site to another service provider.

We hope that you will no longer be experiencing any of these issues and look forward to seeing you at conference. Thank you all for the feedback and general support.

Thanks for the quick (and positive!) reply, Sebastien.

I find that as my Orchard projects get more elaborate, custom modules grow quickly in size and scope - hence my desire for better unit tests.

Strategies for segregating functionality amongst modules would be helpful as well. That is, my typical MVC projects might have a dozen or more individual projects, whereas my Orchard projects have 1, maybe 2 custom modules with (in my mind) too many responsibilities and no unit tests. If I could walk away from Harvest with a better understanding of how to architect these types of solutions it would be money well spent!

Thanks again - Kurt

Unit testing session would be a great.

I second the Unit testing session. I've been developing for orchard for 1.5 years now and this is still the hardest topic for me o nail down in orchard.

Well it all depends on what you are trying to do, if you are pushing all your logic to services, Unit Testing shouldn't differ between an Orchard Project or a regular MVC project.

Training Demo has some unit test samples: it's not trivial because of the complicated setup, but once you got it it's fairly simple.

Hi,

Thanks again for the conference. We are currently reviewing the notes that we took during the sessions and it would be very helpful for us to have all the slides from the different sessions.
I found some of them on the web by searching a bit but there is no central place where to download them.

Found two of them:
Would it be possible to regroup all the slides and put them on the orchard website or somewhere else? I’m sure it would be useful to a lot of people.

Are Harvest 2013 videos being uploaded somewhere? Nothing on Channel 9 or YouTube as of this writing.
With 1.7RC out, docs (http://docs.orchardproject.net/ or https://github.com/OrchardCMS/OrchardDoc - except for release notes) need an update.
Orchard is worth writing another (in-depth) book.
Great work!
