Hello,
Something that makes WordPress so easy to work with is the ability to upgrade to a new version from within the Admin section. It would be great if this could be achieved within Orchard. This would go a long way in making more usable for the masses. Naturally,
one step in the upgrade process could be the backup of the current directory and db in case you gotta roll back to the previous version. What do you all think? The same feature is available for most modules in Word Press also. This should be a feature that's
at the top of the list. I believe it will speed up adoption of Orchard as a CMS of choice.

Won't the application pool restart every time something in bin/ is changed? How would the update feature handle that?

That's a good question. I know it can be accomplished somehow. Lets anyone interested VOTE on this feature, that way we can collectively begin investigating a solution.
