At the recent commits I see that support was added for MySQL.

Just a friendly reminder that the MySQL connector is released under GPL, so I'm not sure 'if' Orchard can put this in the official release as that would require it to change its license to GPL?

I absolutely love that "friendly reminder" expression, first seen in an Azure e-mail. Kind of like "unrefusable offer" :-). Joke aside, there is no problem with the license.

At that post:

"MySql is licensed under GPL, which includes both the database server and the client libraries. Hopefully it comes with open source exceptions which let us redistribute the client libraries as explained in the FAQ below."

Hopefully? While bit lower he point out it does? I think that should read "luckily" no? :)

But yeah, I wasn't aware about such an exception - thanks for the info :)

I think that "hopefully" is supposed to say that Sebastien understands the FAQ this way but he also asked lawyers about it (don't know about what they've said though).

Yeah, Sébastien writes badly ;) We know to be cautious with anything GPL.

Did I write "Hopefully" ? I really meant "fortunately", let's fix it !
