Layers and url path wildcards

Hi. I am creating two blogs with slight differences (banner, breadcrumb and menu). So, I used some widgets in different 3 url based layers. That´s one for each blog and one for both error pages and search result pages. But I faced a big issue: adding an asterisk to the end of path (at the Layer Rule field) did not make all pages found on each blog load the widgets! Just the "blog root" is loading the widgets. What can I do?

And all of the blog urls and post urls start with the /blog?

No. One blog is /news and the other is /discussion

I had to insert a small javascript code that checks if "document.URL" is one or another, then it replaces the "innerHTML" of some divs. Yeah, I know, that´s a bad solution.

If you are using the built in Navigation module to add menus and breadcrumbs, the breadcrumbs will not recognize items not specifically added to the menu, such as a blog post. Although the widget is being added to the page based on your layer rule, it has nothing to show.
