Hello World in Different Position in Theme

I was reading the tutorial http://docs.orchardproject.net/Documentation/Building-a-hello-world-module and I noticed that it puts the "hello world" in the content part of the theme.  How do I put a model in a different "position" such as in the header or footer?  Thanks for your help.

You would have to create a shape and add it to Layout.WhateverZoneYouWant

In this post, I'm doing it from a driver, but it can also be done from a controller action:

To solve this, all I think I did was convert the module to a widget.  Then, I put the widget in a specific location.

Oh sure, if you can and are willing to do it from a widget that's clearly the simplest solution.
