Hi,

I got my blog with Orchard 1.4.2, but im facing a mysterious problem... someday i entered my site and tried to create a new blogpost and an error showed:

 

Server Error in '/' Application.

I have no idea why this is happening, i just installed the site, i have no custom modules or writed any custom code. in fact, i installed some modules but the site was working well.

Please help!

That looks like some DLL versioning mismatch of sorts.

What happens if you perform a clean Orchard install on your local machine, then download the database? If it works, install the additional modules one by one. If all keeps working, backup your live website (especially the database) and overwrite it with your local files.

My guess would be that you deployed a compiled version and have source files that are more recent than the compiled dll that you deployed. Easy way to fix it would be to delete the extra dlls for modules that should be dynamically compiled from your bin folder. Can't hurt. Also restart the app pool.

Thanks for your response.. i fixed this issue deleting the bin folder and copying again, i also did the same thing with the folder /App_Data/Dependencies.

Right now i am facing another misterious issue, but it will be exposed in another thread.
