Orchard on Mono

I am working on installing Orchard on FreeBSD using Mono. I understand it might not have ever been done before...

I have mono working well on FreeBSD (see my posts on it: http://www.rhyous.com/programming-development/bsdsharp/) and now I want to get Orchard working.

I am following this guide: http://docs.orchardproject.net/Documentation/Running-Orchard-on-Mono

A few questions:

  1. The guide says to compile with MonoDevelop, as it cannot be compiled with xbuild is that still the case?
  2. The guide says to apply a couple patches. With Orchard 1.4 do I still need to apply those patches?

I so far answered my first question.

I have the following mono packages installed.

ap22-mod_mono-2.10_1      Apache module for serving ASP.NET applications
mono-2.10.9         An open source implementation of .NET Development Framework

Trying to build with xbuild:

         136 Warning(s)         1428 Error(s)

Now it is time to try with MonoDevelop
