Topics: General, Localization

I'd also like to ask moderators: is there an idea to raise communities in other languages than English? I can start with Russian speaking people interested on Orchard.  If there is an ideas here, where should I start?

  • Discussion board - I see Fransicas, should we make one for Russian, or it is better to move into some fork project?
  • Russian Orchard build - or even Recipe with Russian PO, transliteration for urls. Maybe something else?
  • Orchard demo site - this I can host my self, or there is some existing site?

If you look at you'll see that we already have a few sites. We can help you build a Russian site like we've done for those.

Thank you very much, seeing forward to make it working. Lets see if there are enough people interested in that.

By the way has been recently taken by someone:

I think it would be great to make such kind of community!

Mar 28, 2012 at 5:09 PM is unavailable...But i'm also interested in such community for the cyrillic users. From Siberia with love :)

I was thinking and hope that owner will respond, so now seems it's time to act. I was speaking to Antonie (french community founder/builder), He will help me (already helping) to setup the site. Most probably I'll make it this weekends.

As I'm not really like, because many people will forget to put dash. Could you please help me to decide, some ideas:

  • or .me or .co

@QuadroPlay : It is possible to add multiple localization on the same site for a same domain.

That is what I did for (French + Ducth) and (French + German + Italian, later)

What would be the Cyrillic culture you would like to add ? Similar to Serbian (sr-Cyrl-RS - српски (Србија) ) ?

Is it available on to create a translation ?

@ikutsin : The best thing would be to convince the owner of to redirect to your server.

Some other community creators have the same 'problem' (e.g trying to convince could be good too.

Once launched, Bertrand will surely add your link at the end of the page

I'll try to convince him to make a list of flags and may be to create sub-domains like to redirect to each community.

I'm nearly done with the content and template: .

Just noticed, that widget names being rendered even if I uncheck the "Check to to render the title on the front-end, uncheck to hide"..

Where should I ask for Russian topic to create in this Discussion list? @agriffard: Sorry, I remember that you sent me some contacts, but I can find where it was..

Nicely done. I'ts neat that you have an icon to differentiate external links in the menu (although the color doesn't match very well with the theme).

@Bertrand: Thank you. True the color doesn't fit together with background good enough, I tried to make it the same as possible (in Paint.NET) to the text color of the links. Same style is used in the footer:
