Taxonomies and permalinks

I've created a taxonomy with a few terms on my 1.4 test site:

  • Documents
    • Articles
      • Art
      • History
      • Etc...
    • Fables

Then I placed a taxonomy widget on one of may pages through a targeted layer. It all worked well until I decided that I wanted the taxonomy to be based on a different route. Instead of: http://mysite/documents... I wanted to use http://mysite/learn/documents

At first I changed some of the terms permalinks by hand but then I figured I should only change the one for Documents and everything should flow from there.

Now if I had type the URL, like http://mysite/learn/documents/articles/art then I get the right content. But the widget somehow returns a mix of old and new permalinks and I can't figure out how to make it use the right stuff. I tried to reset IIS, to delete the widget and put a new one on, nothing helps. What am I missing?

Aliases are not automatically regenerated when you change the parent, unless you configure autoroute for that.

Mentioning aliases put me on the right track, I enabled the Alias UI feature and was able to see and remove the bad aliases. That took care of it.
