Hi Fokes:

I'm currently working on a module that need to run on both azure and a standard host. Ideally I'd like to add the file(s) to app data as that is where they belong.

Has anyone got or impleted an app data provider for azure? Alternatively is there a way of denoting whether orchard is running on azure or not?

Any help apreciated.

On Azure, you do not want to write to the file system. I don't know what that file is, but you'll need to use abstracted storage. Look at the media module.

Bertrand surely means the IStorageProvider interface that you can inject into your classes and use its storage services There are various implementations for different scenarios (I guess there is also one for Azure blob storage).
