Module "Safe Mode"?

Since I seem to commonly run across scenarios where something goes wrong and my whole orcahrd site goes down, I'd be curious if adding some form of "safe mode" to the cms would be beneficial... perhaps where all modules are disabled or something? I recently had to rebuild a whole site when during configuration something went wrong and blew everything up, and I couldnt figure out what caused it. The worst offenders are when creating new tenant sites something goes wrong and takes out ALL the sites in the app.

Already done in 1.x, if a module fails to compile or anything like that it just won't load, tenants are sandboxed from each other as well.

I just tried to add a tenant earlier, and realized I had added http:// to the front of the host. So i edited and deleted the http://. When I hit save, an error was thrown about some missing table in the database, and this took down the whole site- the main site and all tenants, and the admin portal. So I'm not sure what would have been needed to prevent this from taking everything down?

You could remove the tenant folder under App_data\Sites (and clean up the database if you already went through setup for the tenant). Or fix the settings file for the tenant.

I had tried deleting the tenant folder and it didnt help, but finally figured out there was some "reboot" file that I removed and it let the main site come back up...I'll need to look up the name of that file again.
