Current version stays in with last source code

I've set up the last source code from the default branch and opened it in VS2010. I've started it and saw on the bottom-right in the Dashboard, the version is "Orchard v.".

Also in the Dashboard, there's a box with the title "Stay up to date" showing "The latest version of Orchard is 1.3.9.", but the source code referred to that commit is from October.

What am I doing wrong? Can someone help me to update properly?

The default branch is 1.3, which is the latest release. The 1.x branch is where development is going on for 1.4.

Hum, interesting. So why does it keep displaying "The latest version of Orchard is 1.3.9."?

From where does this version information come from?

With the latest commit from the default branch I have the latest (not released) changes or is there another branch with more recent commits?

1.3 is the same as 1.3.9, it's just a shorthand.
