Orchard And Azure

Evening folks,

We have a client that has approximately 40 different websites written in PHP and other technologies. They are wanting to consolidate all of this to one tech and have tentatively agreed to follow our guidance to use Orchard.
One thing we need to figure out before settling on Orchard is whether this will work in Azure. From what we have read, any change to a website would need to be packaged and redeployed to Azure. How does this work in a multi-tenant setup?
Is the entire site (all tenants) going to be packaged and deployed together or would we package and deploy each Orchard tenant separately as necessary?
I think we will be trying to consolidate some of these sites, but there is a realistic likelyhood that the client will still need a large number of tenant sites running.

Can anyone give some metrics on Orchard in Azure using multi-tenancy?
Will orchard support 40-80 separate tenants if necessary? Anyone with actual numbers?

On Azure, there is one package for the whole site. In a multi-tenant setup, there is still one deployed site for all tenants. So yes, any change to the modules or themes means a new deployment.
