How to setup Left-Side/Sub-Navigation

I have the following content structure:

Services ("~/Services")

Service 1 ("~/Services/Service-1")

Service 2 ("~/Services/Service-2")

...

Service N ("~/Services/Service-N")

I've created a containable content type called "Service" and created a List that contains Service content type.  The Services List responds to URL "~/services" and has a menu item on my top navigation bar.

What I want is that when a user lands on this route I want the list of Services to be displayed vertically in the First Aside zone as a sub-menu and on the sub pages.  I know I how to do this via Widgets and adding a Container Widget that shows items from List: Services.

However, on this same route, I want the details of the first Service (Service 1) to automatically be displayed in the Content zone.  How can I achieve this?  The Content Zone currently renders a list of summary Service displays.  How do I get it to render the details?

Am I thinking of this correctly?

I think this should be done using Taxonomies.

Bertrand,

Okay so I could create a Services taxonomy with route "~/Services" with Service 1, Service 2, thru Service N as terms.  I would put a Taxonomy Widget on the First Aside zone.  But how would I still show just the first item in the Content zone?

I'm not sure how it would help?
