How to remove layout elements from pages within site (Custom Layout?)

We are developing a site for which I have created a custom theme.  Within the site there are 3 pages I do not want to header and footer defined within the theme to show up.  Is there a simple way to do this?

Note:  the pages are not created in the content area and are development pages, therefore the Layout Selector addon will not help.

Thanks in advance!

Depending on what exactly you are trying to do, you should be able to create specific alternates for the layout shape, for example from a shape table provider. http://weblogs.asp.net/bleroy/archive/2011/01/10/orchard-shapeshifting.aspx

To me this sounds like using Placement.info could help. There you can specify which shapes are to be displayed where or that they are not to be displayed at all. The beginning of one of ours looks like this:

... and it hides e.g. the creation date from the CommonPart (last line: the - specifies NO position).

Hope this helps,
