Is it possible to filter containable items by filter buttons in the view. Btw i don't mean how filtering it's done at http://www.orchardproject.net/docs/Creating-lists.ashx#Creating_a_Custom_Containable_Content_Type_0

Sure. You'll have to write some code though :)

Hmm... Do you mean you want to remove certain buttons from the View?

no i want to filter the list with predefined created filter buttons on the page. Like for example the GridView/ListbView of asp.net web.forms. Also i want to create a search bar in the list page where you can filter the list items by search criteria.

@bertadleory can you give me an hint of how i can do that nicely? Or do i have to do this by create a custom list and create a controller with action which filters the list? Or is there a better solution so i can still use the buildin list?

You have to create your own controller.

Also you could add an html widget with some jquery within it. Load it on an area in a default page, and you also could enable buttons if the page viewed is a list. Then, you just could filter with jquery. Maybe the filter is quite an effort, but it's a workaround and you also could enable a filtered page with querystrings so that you could pass urls filtered.

Cheers.
