Can't go beyond welcome page; Connection to DB fail Error

Hi,

I got to the "Welcome to Orchard" page and I got to the part asking me where to store my data.  I chose Use existing SQL Server, just to try and used this connection string: Server=localhost\SQLExpress;UID=sa;PWD=test123;database=orchard, but I get this error:

Cannot open database "orchard" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'sa'

Was I supposed to create a new database? What is the schema, if that is the case? Else, does Orchard do the scripting to create the appropriate database and tables?

Thank you

Just create the database. Orchard is going to take care of creating the tables. You might want to avoid using sa though. That is quite a dangerous practice.

Thanks for the pointer.  "sa" was just for my test, but thank you for the tip :)  It worked; thank you very much.  I should have just tried creating an empty database first to see.  I had a feeling but thought maybe the codes will do that.  Where is the codes that set up the tables like that, by the way?

Deep in nHibernate.
