Hi there,

I'm just a nut of orchard cms. we are looking at a feature that restrict certain pages for our member. It will allow the people to register with our website. and only regiestered user can access certain pages. Is there anyway to set this up in Orchard without any extra effort of coding?

thx

You should be able to add a layer rule for that.

See http://www.orchardproject.net/docs/Managing-widgets.ashx. You should be able to define an authenticated rule

Layers rules only show or hide widgets; they can't restrict pages.

It's possible however with some other features. See my answer(s) on this thread: http://orchard.codeplex.com/discussions/260748

There are some different ways you could set it up, depending what level of complexity you require. I mention some stuff there that isn't quite implemented yet; hopefully I'll be getting around to that this week. Or you could use smeyers' "Really Simple Permissions" module since it covers the basic scenario you need.

I think this is what Pete was referring to: http://orchardproject.net/gallery/List/Modules/Orchard.Module.Downplay.Quanta

I think this is it, actually: http://orchard.codeplex.com/discussions/259662  I don't think it's in the gallery.

My Quanta module can be used for allowing individuals editor permissions for specific content items. The plan was to also allow restricting viewing of content but at some stage I realised the way I'd set things up didn't easily enable this. Eventually it'll be supported but right now that link ldhertert has posted for the Very Simple Permissions module will do the trick.
