What is the best way making orchard as a magazine?

Here is how I need the page will looks like:

I am using Taxonomies widget and I defined a blog posts, each blog related to it's own category (World, US, NU, Business...)
The only problem is that the Taxonomies is a simple list. and I wish the blog posts will be displayed in a diferent zones in the page.

Also, I wish to add the pages some moduls like "Most Rated" and "Most Viewed" for every category(World, US, NU, Business...) how can I do this...?

Can you watch my teched presentation on Orchard here:

It will already answer some of your questions. Something I forgot to demo during the session is that you can add a Vote Widget which will display the Ratings for instance, and also the most viewed elements using the last module that is created during the demonstrations.

Do display specific elements in specific sections, you would just need another widget, that's all. And this one could be part of taxonomies, as we don't have a more generic solution to display filtered queries.

You might also want to check this out, in order to display the first post differently like the NY Times does:

I have view the demo, and I have to say that for a beginner, looks like in the next months I will have to research and study alot untill I will be able to customize orchard to be a system magazine.

Is there a tempate website I can use that is close to a magazine requierment, so I can start running a website?

When installing orchard I choosed the DEFAULT website template, I can install it again if there is a need,

I am looking for a beginner tutorial, without development knowledge needed.

Please help, I am all confused, but ambitious enough to make this happens...

It's probably best to start with small things, and learn incrementally. Start by creating simple contents and content types from the admin UI, experiment, then try to customize rendering and little by little it will all come together.
