I've been playing around with a local dev site and want to reset my database.  I've got all types of test contenttypes contentparts I'd like completely cleared out.

I tried just deleting the database file (orchard.sdf) but that didn't get me very far.

Delete the whole App_data folder. Of course, this totally obliterates all contents but that's what you want to do, right?

yup, that did the trick.  thx!

Is there a less castostrophic way to delete all signs of a contenttype or contentpart that was misnamed or created on accident?  Delete doesn't seem to be part of these entities capabilities.

Except hacking into the database, no.

Actually, I just deleted the app_data/logs and app_data/sites

There is an open issue about deleting content types. Unfortunately, content types are non-removable atm... Sebastien Ros has been working on a module adding such feature recently. It's being tested right now and I hope it will be available soon.
