Displaying Images in Orchard Pages

Topics: Writing themes

I've read through some of the discussions and still not sure I'm finding what I need to know.  I am very new to Orchard so maybe it is something basic that I am missing.  I am simply trying to modify the ThemeMachine theme.  At the top of my page in the branding.cshtml I am trying to place an image/logo.  I've tried the options talked about here with the last one being @Url.Content("~/Themes/TheThemeMachine/images/company_logo.gif")  this appears to make a good relative path to the image but appends OrchardLocal to the Url, which works to include the Style.css, but no image appears.  Am I going about this all wrong?  Do I need to use the command line to create a child theme to make this work?  Help please I am lost.

Is there a web.config file in that images directory?

Yes, take the one from the directory where the css is and copy it over. By default, Orchard is locked down to not serve anything that is not explicitly marked ok.
