I have to say right off that I love Orchard. It works swimmingly right out the box.

My question is can I run multiple web sites using one install of Orchard?

Yes, you need the multi-tenancy module (available from the gallery).

Yes, as Bertrand says, you can use the multi-tennacy module, howere there are a few gotchas to keep in mind.  If you're running it locally, on your workstation with WebMatrix, yo will need to run WebMatrix as an administrator to be able to modify the site bindings through the user interface.  Alternatively, you can edit the IIS applicationhost.config manually, and then use netsh to add the site to the kernel mode http service.

If you're running Orchard on a server, then you need to configure the bindings in IIS manager and add new bindings for your additional sites.

Thanks! For now I'm using it under web hosting or I will be soon. Since I do small business web sites I figured it would be nice to allow the customers to be able to make their own content changes.

Either  way Orchard is the *ish. This is perfect for web designers.
