When I use the shape tracing and select to create a new template I get a page not found error. I have reinstalled the module but end up with the same error every time

URL/Orchard.DesignerTools/Alternate/Create not found

Are you running the application in a virtual directory, i.e. http://localhost:30320/OrchardLocal/ ?

If so it looks like a bug as the application base path isn't getting included in the callback Url.

I removed the url for security reasons. it is in there as an example of http://127.0.0.1//Orchard.DesignerTools/Alternate/Create

That doesn't answer my question; is the application running in a virtual directory?

No, It is running as a root website

Strange. Is that double slash supposed to be there or is that a typo?

Let me just check :

- What shape are you trying to create a template for

- What alternate name are you picking

I just saw a (different) error trying to create an alternate for code-based templates like Zones but I'm wondering if it's specific to a certain shape type or template.

The URL should definitely be correct.

If you go directly to that URL in the browser, do you get "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." ?

I am trying to replace the name of the site with my logo instead so it is the zone header, branding. Trying to create an alternate template. The excat error message is below

Basically that page should be working, at least something should be happening. Can you try running the site thru VS's web server instead of IIS, could be a configuration issue?
